Mel came back from ‘nam with Hepatitis C, a conscientious objector
Died at 57; seems pretty young to me

The Maine man cleaned the planes of Agent Orange out at sea
Now he’s got a rare disease unique to the activity

Don’s number one hit record was a Polka can you believe?
He’d got it going on, but changed the tune just to please

No more rock n roll recession, the man is buoyant all the while
Friends and businesses crumble, doing it in style

A cheerleader but he can’t save the world
Bloody Mary took her toll, slept it off and missed the show
